My first week as Cover Girl has been very, very busy.
The adult world is full of paperwork!
MONDAY
My mom and I signed and sent in my National American Miss paper work, so now I am Michigan's Pre-Teen Cover Girl officially!! *Whoot! Whoot!*
My dad helped me set up a meeting with our County Commissioner Shana Shroll.
TUESDAY
Tuesday was filled with more paperwork, press releases, and we called around trying to find places where I can volunteer for charity work.
WEDNESDAY
On Wednesday I went to a meet and greet fundraiser for our County Commissioner who is re-running for her office. I enjoyed meeting Shana Shroll and other successful women because I look at them as role models. #5 on bucket list: *check* :)

While at this fundraiser I also got to meet Kelly Mitchell. She is the Vice Chair of MIGOP Outreach, and she invited me to attend her own event later this summer! #5 on bucket list: *double check* :)
THURSDAY
I went to the Kent County Commissioner's meeting where Shana Shroll acknowledged me publicly, and she complimented me saying that most kids would be hanging out with friends on vacation while I, Regina, have been attending meetings and fundraisers. I said, "Thank you," and smiled :)
FRIDAY - SUNDAY
I went to the Cherry Festival in Traverse City, Michigan! My favorite part was watching the fireworks in the rain, because it looked like the clouds were raining sparks and flames! It was cool.
